About Emilie
Emilie Pulitano was born in Montreal, Canada to Italian immigrant parents. The eldest of five children, Emilie always had a passion for the arts as a child and has carried that passion throughout her entire life, juggling work, children, grandchildren while always keeping her love of painting close to her heart.
Painting Style
Emilie's works are carefully built by using different tactile surfaces, tools and textural layering techniques. Her playful use of raw materials and geometries create a palpable sense of motion that excudes otherwordly energy. She is an artist that can build her composition by hand, tools and brushes combined. She allows competeing colors, textures, styles and shapes to overlap and interact in suprising dynamic ways . Her canvasses conjure ideas about human interactions, landscapes and surrealistic close-ups.
